SUMMARY:Bids close: Agramunt Town Council considers it necessary to carry out works to improve safety and accessibility in the south-western area of Agramunt’s urban core\, specifically along Catalunya Avenue\, within the stretch between Manuel de Pedrolo Street and Fondandana Street\, on the western side of the avenue. The intervention aims to improve public road safety conditions\, facilitate pedestrian mobility and promote universal accessibility of urban spaces\, through adaptation of the intervention area in accordance with the technical project specifications. The intervention responds to the need to guarantee adequate circulation and accessibility conditions for all persons\, especially those with reduced mobility\, and to improve the functionality and safety of public space. In accordance with Article 28 of Law 9/2017\, of 8 November\, on Public Sector Contracts (LCSP)\, the contract is necessary\, suitable and proportionate to meet this need. The intervention falls within municipal competences regarding road infrastructure\, maintenance of public spaces and urban mobility. Furthermore\, given the nature and scope of the works—which require material resources\, machinery and specialised personnel—it is considered necessary to resort to external contracting to ensure correct execution of the works\, in compliance with the technical project specifications.
